Surenail technology is a triple layer of woven engineered fabric, which is found right along the nailing line of their Duration series of shingles. This tough fabric helps offer the ultimate shingle when it comes to protection and reinforcement. The layer itself is very visible. Sounds great right, but what difference does this strip make?<\/p>\n
First it increases gripping and bonding power between the shingles. This helps with a few things such as reducing the likelihood of water entry issues as well as allowing for wind warranties for up to one hundred and thirty miles an hour\u2026 and this is accomplished with the roofer only using as little as four nails!<\/p>\n
Second, thanks to the strip being so visible, it makes it much easier for the roofer to secure the shingle properly. By taking the guess work out of where to nail the shingles it helps to ensure you secure the shingle in the right place. This plays a key part in how well the shingles will adhere and stay in place.<\/p>\n
